Anyone else having trouble getting this screw to stay in the top of the transaxle ? mine keeps coming out no matter how tight it is in the bracket. Thinking about using a larger diameter screw ?

I had the same problem, it stripped out, found a slightly longer and thicker screw in spare parts box and super bonded it in.

I haven't got those parts yet but I'll watch out for this issue...

My Kit 19 was delivered here in Utah Tuesday evening.

This single attachment becomes a pivot point for the transaxle/suspension.

I ended up drilling and taping the hole for a 3mm Hex Socket Button Head Cap Screw, with a little super glue, solved the problem.

And the cap screw does not show when the exhaust is installed.

Trying to post a picture, not working, will try later.

I am also working on converting the 'Straight Exhaust' into the 'Bundle of Snakes'.

Almost complete, will attach pictures soon.

OK found out the boss that the screw goes into on the plastic top cover for the transaxle broke off completely.
There is just too much load on this one little screw with the engine not bolted into the chassis.
Someone here in another thread suggested leaving the rear wheels & tires off of the assembly until Stage # 88 and I think that's an excellent suggestion since this one screw has to hold the transaxle, engine & crossmember in place until then.

So what I did was drill through the plastic top cover in the existing hole and through the metal transaxle case with a .085 drill bit and insert a M2.5x8 allen head self-tapping screw into the hole to secure the crossmember to the transaxle.

Gonna handle this assembly very carefully until stage #88 !

I re-tapped thread
Re drilled hole to slightly bigger diameter
Used a Allen key bolt and secured with a Allen key
Used model filler to fill hole
Then sanded surface smooth
Then painted in TAMIYA flat aluminium
Hope this helps you all out

@mortyjeff I absoluetly love what you have done with fixing the exhaust manifold. Care to share how you did it and what materials you used as I desperately want to do this with mine, if an when the parts ever turn up - been waiting since September now
