Our parent company De Agostini S.p.A was founded by the geographer Giovanni De Agostini in Italy in 1901.

De Agostini S.p.A. is a holding that coordinates the strategic operating companies of De Agostini Editore, De Agostini Communications, IGT & DeA Capital and makes financial investments, among which the main investment is a minority stake in Assicurazioni Generali.

De Agostini UK Ltd is based in London and is one of 26 worldwide offices that are part of the De Agostini Publishing Group with its head office in Milan. De Agostini UK is the leading partwork publisher in the United Kingdom, which publishes weekly retail and monthly subscription titles for the UK market.

ModelSpace came into being in 2009, is based in London and is a sub-division of De Agostini S.p.A.. In addition to the United Kingdom, the company publishes its monthly Subscription and full kit titles in the USA, Germany, China, Australia, Spain, New Zealand, South Africa, Belguim, Singapore, Netherlands, Italy and Malta. ModelSpace is one of the leading and most trusted worldwide official scale modelling retailers with over 30 collections available across 13 countries & in 5 languages.

ModelSpace USA is now six years old, and is a division of De Agostini Publishing USA inc.

The De Agostini Publishing Group, employs over 2,000 staff and publishes in 33 countries through 26 local offices.

On the 5th April 2016 our CEO, Alessandro Belloni, had the honour of representing De Agostini EMEA at the annual Disney Publishing Worldwide event – part of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Four licensee awards were presented during the prestigious event, with De Agostini receiving the Product Innovation Award.
De Agostini was presented the award for its production and distribution of the collectible 1:1 model replica of the legendary Millennium Falcon, which is now available in 15 countries around the world, including the UK, France, Germany, and Japan. De Agostini has sold over 4 million copies of the product to date, which is delivered as 100 issues containing the model components and comprehensive build guides that make it a simple and engaging project for scale model makers of all ages

De Agostini Communications is the media and communication sector sub-holding comprising the Group's interests in content production, broadcasting and distribution of content for television, new media and cinema.
