Here is a hint to help with the threading of blocks. I used the super glue trick at first but "borrowed" one of my wife's needle threaders and used it to pull the thread through. Works a treat, just make sure the holes in the blocks are clear.
I was able to get 10 threaders from EBay for just a few quid

Thanks Gil, I have a needle threader that I used when stringing the hammocks but I didn't think it would work on the blocks as the holes were really narrow. I'll give it a try one the next set of blocks.

Needle threaders are a godsend, I use them for most of my rigging requirements, including the rigging blocks and they work a treat. Its a tool I wouldn't be without....Cool Cool

Time for another update.

Mast and collar

The mast was glued in place and the first collar added. The collar needed a lot of trimming to avoid the feet of the pumps.

That is a very nice model you are putting together.

Just looking at all the detail and you really get a sense of how terrible life on board must of been although i guess that is in our modern eyes.

Have read that life on board was considered better than life on land.

Your build is turning out very well.
Happy Modelling

Looking great Micheal, I enjoyed building this one, it seems to take an age to do but well worth it in the end.
