Here is my Entry into the "Last Year of the Panavia Tornado" competition
I have ordered the 1/32 Gulf war Tornado awaiting delivery. Also i have the White metal undercarriage and the Tornado book.
I have managed to get hold of the Old Flightpath Gr1 set not the conversion set.

I was thinking the same thing Derek LOL Seriously though thats a great set of aftermarket parts you've got there Chris. About the book, I've noticed some of the other chaps have got this as well, is this the most comprehensive book out there for the Tornado? Have fun with your build. BigGrin

Cheers Guys. Thanks for the encouragement.

The book is probably the best source of info on the Tornado with many pictures and Diagrams. Well worth the buy if you are after doing plenty of detail.

Finally I make a start on my first complex polystyrene Plastic kit with upgrades in over 10 years. So have to re-learn my skills again.

I started with the Ejector seats. Well one of them. It took a-lot of filing the white metal bits to get them to fit but I like the look. Some of the parts were wrong in the set. The Air pipes out of the side of the seat were incorrect, they gave me 4 the same not 2 left and 2 right. So I made my own from wire.

I had a few problems with the superglue not sticking. I made half the seat last night, picked it up and it fell apart. Not good. The brass bits weren't holding also the white metal parts weren't either. I roughed some of the bits up they have held up to now.

I then removed the wiring from the bulkheads and replaced with wire. I installed the pedals with the photo etch plates.

BigGrin Nice start and looking good, by the way most plastic/resin kit parts have a release agent that needs to be washed in warm soapy water to remove it before construction begins its the same with etch parts but they have an oil coating that will need the use of a degreaser so the glue and paint will adhere to themCool
