Hello,

I have a single question as the topic tells .... "why is this done in scale 1/250?"

Point is that I am not really a ship modeller so far ... build 4 kits in 1/350 some years ago ... but with view on the market the biggest usual scale is 1/200 as kits from Trumpeter and others are, including those of Hachette with their Bismarck and the Prinz Eugen.
So my question arise, why here in 1/250?

Cheers,
Christian

The Yamato kit was originally released by DeAgostini Japan and was based on the Woody Joe model Yamato kit they had been selling. The scale at 1/250 gave a good sized ship, link below to the Woody Joe web site-

Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi,

thank you for the information BigGrin

Maybe the 1/200 series was (much) later starting as this kit was done in original I guess.
